North Alabama Zoological Society Kids Festival

Are you looking to have a fun day while supporting the new zoo? The NALZS Kids Festival is the perfect place! With over 50 vendors and food trucks, there will be fun happening all day plus the best of Alabama outdoors! If you’re interested in hearing about the latest updates on the zoo, staff will be available all around the festival and ready to answer questions. Kids’ Fest will be on Saturday, April 9th from 11-2 in Monte Sano State Park!

Stovehouse

When in doubt, there always seems to be something going on at Stovehouse! Enjoy live music, attend a swing dance social, join Tuesday trivia, participate in the test flight challenge, or just relax and grab a bite to eat from the numerous restaurant options. 

Historic Huntsville Walking Tour

Do you ever pass by the historic homes in Huntsville and wonder about the stories surrounding them? On April 2nd and 9th enjoy a walking tour by some of Huntsville’s most beautiful antebellum mansions. For an hour, tour guides will tell stories about the homes and owners and point out the distinct styles of each home. Did we mention it’s free??

PorchFest

Mark your calendars for the first Saturday of May! Head over to Pratt Avenue in Historic Five Points for PorchFest! Five porches will host musicians from Huntsville, Nashville, and the Shoals. Make sure to bring a blanket or chair and stock your cooler for a fun evening filled with music and socializing!

Spring Plant Sale

The Master Gardeners of North Alabama have done it again! Head out to the Alabama A&M Agribition Center April 22-23 for the Spring Plant Sale. The cost to enter is free! There is a bigger variety of plants this year including annuals, perennials, vegetables, shrubs, and more! All proceeds benefit the Master Gardeners of North Alabama’s community service outreach.

Greene Street Market

Check out the Greene Street Market, Huntsville’s producer-only, open-air market for fresh, locally grown veggies, fruits, meat, produce, and plants. Meet local farmers and buy directly from them! Located on the corner of Greene Street and Eustis Avenue, Greene Street Market is on Thursdays in downtown Huntsville starting in May and running through October.

The Camp
